Research

Here you will find an overview of our ongoing research projects.

New project to ensure children a good transition from home to daycare

How can health visitors, daycare providers and families work together to ensure children experience a positive transition from home to daycare – and prevent minor challenges from developing into larger problems?

Collaboration as Early Intervention

When practitioners collaborate across sectors and involve parents, challenges in children’s lives can be addressed before they grow too big. In this project, researchers, practitioners, and parents will develop a collaborative model to strengthen cross-sector preventive efforts.

Prepared for Parenthood

In this project, researchers and practitioners will develop an intervention that helps expectant parents in psychosocially vulnerable situations build a healthy relationship with their unborn child — and get a good start to family life.

Play, Reflect and Participate (PREP)

All children should have the opportunity to take part in play and play communities in kindergarten. In this project, researchers and practitioners explore how early childhood educators, through systematic reflection, can create the best possible conditions for inclusive play.

Digital Balance

Smartphones and tablets are part of everyday life in most families with small children. In this project, researchers and practitioners examine how practitioners can best advise parents on screen use and habits.

Moving Kindergartens

All children benefit from physical activity, but it can be challenging to engage everyone in active play in kindergarten. In this project, researchers and practitioners investigate how early childhood educators can best promote the joy of movement among all children.
